Popular political blogger Raja Petra to face Sedition Act today

Raja Petra and Altantuya father ShaariibuTo kick off a “freer” media in Malaysia – the government formally charge Raja Petra a popular political blogger over an article “Let’s send Altantuya Murderers to Hell“.

Couple of days ago he was ordered to Bukit Aman crime division to record his statement about the article – which vehemently he refused to give.

Perhaps agitated by his refusal, they decided to charge him under the Sedition Act today.

Another person, Syed Akbar Ali, is also expected to face similar charges. He is said to have posted comments on the King.
